Programme
The latest Aug-Sept Programme that has been produced by our Vice President of Education is available in pdf format via the link. This itemises the Activities and Participants of our Kickstart Programs approximately 4 meetings in advance.
Guests are welcome whether you wish to join or not. We currently meet from 6.45am for a 7am sharp start @ the Cairns Sebel Hotel.
If you are the Toastmaster of the Morning, you can set a theme, change the order/style of the programme or choose to do something different. Just contact the President or the VPE to discuss any changes. Some options are:
- An impromptu meeting – everyone needs to prepare for all roles and names drawn out of a hat
- Have the business session after breakfast
- A theme relevant to the day e.g. Queens birthday, club birthday, Melbourne Cup, winter solstice, ANZAC day, Cairns Amateurs, Cairns show, Millionaires for a morning, Board of directors for a morning, Court room brawl for a morning
- If a speaker can’t make it, substitute a frivolous business session
- If a speaker can’t make it, ask a member to do an education session on a topic. Your VPE or President can help with a topic, (topics could include a meeting role, competing in speaking contests, officer roles, meeting procedure and there are lots more.
If your role is to present the inspiration, you can choose to present an inspiration or a toast. An alternative is to choose to be the listening critic. Look in the back of your Competent Communicator manual for details or ask your President or VPE.
